Aloha and thank you for supporting Pacific Cancer Foundation and Paddle for Life! As a cancer survivor this event has special meaning for me as a celebration and gratitude for being alive and healthy enough to paddle this voyage. Every cancer journey is a voyage and the voyager relies on support from the community to be able to undertake their journey. Maui's own Pacific Cancer Foundation provides much needed support for Maui families facing cancer including patient navigation services, support groups, health classes, and more. This voyage is personal in a different way this year for me as we are paddling in support of our beloved fellow HOCVS voyager and friend Lisa as she is navigating her cancer journey with much appreciated help from Pacific Cancer Foundation.
