As many of you know, a few years ago I took up outrigger canoeing and now paddle on a competitive women's team out of San Rafael, California. Paddling has become a very important part of my life and I'm grateful to be part of a community with outposts anywhere in the world where there is water. This year, I've paddled hundreds of miles, including races along the coast of Hawai'i and between Newport Beach and Catalina Island.
I've been fortunate to get to paddle with a group on Maui and this year have been invited to participate in the annual Paddle for Life event to raise funds for cancer patients and their families on the islands. We will be paddling 72 miles in two days, traveling back and forth between the islands of Maui and Lanai to celebrate and support cancer survivors, some of who will be paddling as well.
If you feel so moved, I would be grateful for your support.
