M.J. Wilson-Emig, my mother, passed June 4th, 2024 from heat failure brought on by an aggressive multiple myeloma that had been diagnosed only 10 weeks prior. For eight of these weeks she was in ICU.
My mother was larger than life. She was a mother of 7, not counting those she hanai'ed. She was an educator, an actress, a scholar and never would she stop. She had unlimited energy. Until cancer which stopped her in her tracks.
I am raising money for the Pacific Cancer Foundation to help others afflicted with cancer and their families maintain hope and be able to stand up against this terrible affliction.
