As many of you know, I have been helping to raise money for Pacific Cancer Foundation (PCF) since Wythe, my husband, passed away from leukemia in 2016. All of us have been touched personally by cancer, the loss of a loved one, or the recovery of a loved one from cancer. On O’ahu Wythe received the best treatment and services available in our state. Unfortunately, many individuals living in Maui County do not. Patients often must fly from Maui, Lanai or Molokai to Oahu for treatment, bring along a caregiver, get housing for the caregiver while they undergo treatment, and/or any adjunctive therapies.
I look forward to working with my fellow paddlers and all of you wonderful donors to reach my goal and continue to support PCF!
